IV. The Spirit That Makes Life Feel Wonderfully More Alive

Here we are & here I am
Vibrant, wholesome, full, enriched
Sad at times, weighted at times, joyous at times
Learning, reading, understanding
Forgiving, acknowledging, reflecting, apologizing
Both falling short and being delighted in
Loving and being loved
Here I am and here we are doing the darn thing

In all that I am, in all that I bring, in all that I’ve been through, in all that I’ll be. Here I am and here we are living like we always have. Just this year around the sun everything looks and feels a little different. Freshness and nostalgia intertwined.

While we're in pursuit of God, He’s in pursuit of us; and to be captured by a gracious and abundant God, feels like that’s all there is to it most days.

All is well when I am reminded that all I have is all I need, and where I am is where I need to be. Tomorrow I might feel differently though, and sit with some sadness for the longings in my heart that have yet to be fulfilled. I might sit with some frustration for circumstances and dynamics that beg to be wrestled with. But in the moments where I’ll draw near to God I'll be reminded that I like who I am and where I am, only and mainly because He’s in it all. He’s the part of me that I like, He’s the spirit that makes life feel wonderfully more alive.
